Join the Pride Collective Textile Installation at Republic London and take part in a relaxed creative workshop exploring belonging, identity, and connection through textile art.
Led by Cristina Rago, this drop-in Pride workshop invites participants to stitch onto textiles using reflective prompts focused on community, self-expression, and shared experiences. The session creates a welcoming environment where people can slow down, connect with others, and contribute to a collective creative project.
During the workshop, you can respond to prompts through stitching, mark-making, or simple textile techniques. You do not need any previous sewing or artistic experience to take part. The focus stays on participation, reflection, and creative expression rather than technical skill.
As the session develops, all individual textile pieces will come together as part of a growing collaborative installation celebrating the many different ways people experience belonging and connection. The final artwork will reflect shared stories, perspectives, and moments of creativity from across the Republic community.
The Pride Collective Textile Installation welcomes everyone who studies, works, or spends time at Republic. You can join for a short time or stay longer and take part at your own pace. The workshop encourages conversation, creativity, and community in an inclusive and supportive setting.
