Keep the Welcome Week fun going with Licence to Play. Join us in The Common Room for the Welcome Week After Party. Expect interactive games, giant games and a live DJ. It is a chance to take a break from the first few days of term. You can also meet other students, listen to music and have a dance.

What to expect

Licence to Play will bring a mix of interactive and giant games to The Common Room. There will be plenty to get involved with. You can join the games with friends or meet other students while you play. A live DJ will also be playing throughout the party. Expect music, dancing and a relaxed atmosphere. It is the perfect way to unwind after a busy start to term.

Meet new people

Welcome Week is a great time to meet people. It can also feel a little overwhelming, especially if you are new to London or university. This event is a chance to spend some time with other students in a relaxed setting. Come with friends or come on your own. The games make it easy to start a conversation and get involved. You do not need to be competitive. You can simply come along, listen to the music and enjoy the afternoon. Stay for a few minutes or stick around for the whole party.

The Welcome Week After Party takes place in The Common Room from 4pm on Thursday 1 October. It is part of Republic’s Welcome Week programme. The event is open to new and returning students. Whether you are starting your first term or coming back to campus, you are welcome to join us. Bring your friends, try something new and meet people from across the Republic community.
