Join Beeja for a two-hour interactive workshop exploring identity, memory and belonging through the sari.
Discover the stories behind this traditional garment and its connection to culture, migration and home. Share your own experiences, try different sari draping styles and explore simple movement inspired by South Asian dance traditions.
Together, we’ll create a short movement piece inspired by the stories shared during the session. We’ll finish with an informal celebration, bringing together the drapes, stories and movement created by the group.
Open to everyone. No dance experience or prior knowledge of the sari is needed. Drop in and take part!
