Create & Connect – DIY Sound Objects Workshop
Join artist Gisou Golshani for a hands-on DIY Sound Objects workshop. Using everyday items like jars, bowls and grains, you’ll create your own experimental sound object and discover the sounds it can make.
Try out contact microphones and effects pedals to transform everyday objects into unusual sounds. You’ll also contribute to a collaborative soundscape created during the session.
The workshop takes inspiration from Yalda Night, an ancient Iranian festival celebrating the winter solstice and the longest night of the year. Traditionally, Yalda brings people together through food, music and storytelling. It celebrates light, connection and the changing seasons.
No previous experience is needed. Just drop in, experiment with sound and get creative!
