Want to feel more confident leading discussions, hosting conversations, or speaking up in group settings? This free workshop series at Republic is all about building real-world facilitation skills, in a way that’s practical, creative and genuinely fun.
Delivered by The People Speak, these sessions introduce Talkaoke: a pop-up talk-show-style format that’s been used across the UK to spark open, inclusive conversations in public spaces.
What you’ll get out of it
Across the workshops, you’ll:
-
build confidence in public speaking and hosting
-
learn creative facilitation tools you can use in seminars, group projects or student societies
-
practice handling disagreement and tricky conversations with confidence
-
co-host live Talkaoke conversations in a supportive environment
No previous experience needed. Just curiosity and a willingness to get involved!
