Join us to celebrate Diwali with two free creative workshops. Explore art, music and movement in a welcoming space. Everyone is welcome, and no previous experience is needed.
Rangoli Art Workshop
Take part in a two-hour group workshop to create a large-scale Rangoli artwork. Using vibrant acrylic paints, you’ll work with others to create colourful patterns inspired by this traditional Indian folk art.
The workshop is led by Trapped in Zone One, a Tower Hamlets-based creative organisation that brings people together through visual arts workshops.
Music and Singing Workshop
Explore the basics of music and singing in a relaxed, interactive session. Movement will be woven into the workshop, bringing together music, dance and creativity.
The session is led by Divya Dayal, an Indian music professional with 25 years of university teaching experience. Divya is also a writer and energy healer who delivers educational and wellbeing programmes. A dance instructor from Beeja will join the session to bring movement into the music and singing activities.
Both workshops offer a chance to get creative, learn something new and celebrate Diwali with the Republic community.
Free and open to all. No previous experience is required.
By attending this event, you grant permission for photographs and videos to be taken and used for promotional purposes.
