Republic x VOICED x Westland Coffee & Wine present:
LGBTQ+ History Month — Exhibition
6 February – 6 March 2026
Westland Coffee & Wine, Republic, East India Docks
The LGBTQ+ History Month exhibition at Republic brings together work by emerging queer artists in a shared, everyday space. Republic is collaborating with VOICED and Westland Coffee & Wine to host this month-long exhibition as part of its commitment to creativity, inclusion, and community connection.
Presented within the café space at Westland Coffee & Wine, the exhibition creates space for the contradictions of queer existence. It brings joy and struggle into conversation with one another. In doing so, it recognises that queer celebration cannot be separated from survival.
Through personal stories and shared histories, the artists create a living, breathing archive of queer life in London today. As a result, the works explore love stories and heartbreak, longing and fierce belonging. Together, they reflect the complexity of LGBTQ+ experience in the city.
Rather than offering a static historical reflection, the LGBTQ+ History Month exhibition at Republic activates queer presence in the now. Instead, it invites students, staff, and the wider community to encounter contemporary queer art as part of daily life. By doing so, it creates space to pause, reflect, and connect.
The exhibition is free and open to all throughout February and into early March.
