Book Exchange | Women Writers in the Spotlight

In celebration of Women’s History Month this March, our Book Exchange in the Library is shining the spotlight on work by diverse and celebrated women writers.

How does the Book Exchange work?

Leave a book, take a book! It’s as simple as that.

Drop off a book you have enjoyed (written by a woman) and in exchange, pick up a new one from the Library shelves.

As well as books gifted to the Library by other readers, you’ll find a rich selection of excellent reads, carefully curated by your community team to include diverse and celebrated women authors.

You’ll also find information about why we are spotlighting women in writing this month, and why having access to the literary work and voices of women is so important.

When:

The Book Exchange will launch on 1st March, with a spotlight on female authors until 31st March. After this point, we'll continue to run the exchange with a broader focus for the rest of 2023.

Where:

The Library is located on the Ground Floor of Import Building, to the left of the reception desk.

In the Library, you’ll find comfy seating and a quiet space to enjoy reading your new book. You are welcome to drop in and use the space whenever you like, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
