Cycling at Republic

Republic has been certified by CycleScore as having Platinum level cycling facilities!

If you’re considering cycling your commute to Republic, check out our tips below. There’s guidance for everyone – including those without a bike!

What do I need in order to commute to Republic?

• A Bike! If you don’t have your own bike, you can use a Santander Cycle or a dockless bike, such as MoBike. There are 2 Santander Cycle docking stations near Republic and both types of bike can be found on the TFL website or apps like CityMapper.
• Safety gear and knowledge. Remember your helmet, lights and review the highway code for cyclists here.
• A bike lock. Whilst our bike racks at Republic can be found within our security monitored basement, it’s important to lock your bike and have one in case something happens en route.
• A plan of your route. Apps such as CityMapper and CycleStreets can help you plan your journey and filter out routes that use quiet roads or get you somewhere faster.

What facilities are there for cyclists at Republic?

We’re a CycleScore certified building and have everything you could need to making cycling to work easy.

Bike racks

These are found in the basement of the Import building, accessible via the barrier entrance of the carpark (to the west of the Import Building). Your building pass can be enabled with access to the car park barrier by request to import@republic.london

Tyre Pressure Pump & Maintenance Stand

These are free to use and found next to the bike racks. Ensure you keep your tyre pressure up to avoid punctures.

Showers

Accessible via the car park and the West lifts in the building, we have male and female changing rooms with showers. Towels have been removed until further notice, so please bring your own.

Lockers

Lockers are found in the male and female changing rooms and can be assigned by office managers.

Drying Room

Whilst this is currently not in use, it will provide a useful facility in the future.
